Handi Quilter Avante 18 Features and Specifications

The HQ18 Avanté TM 18" Quilting Machine conforms to all relevant European regulations and offers expanded quilting space, stitch regulation and a Precision-glide track with an 18" throat. This quality product is backed by the HQ warranty and support from both Handi Quilter ® and from The Cotton Patch in the UK. Designed by a Quilter, for Quilters, the HQ18 Avanté TM is a high-functioning longarm system designed to provide a professional frame for the home studio.

The HQ18 Avanté TM is supplied with the HQ Studio Frame which is a free-standing high-quality steel quilting frame that can be set up at 4', 8' or 12 foot . It features smooth bearings and hand wheels for easy turning, bungees for sideways tensioning and adjustable legs. The four poles snap-in easily and the sturdy ratchets facilitate correct tensioning of the quilt.

Features and Benefits of the HQ18 Avanté TM

• 18” throat to accommodate quilting projects with 15” of quilting space

• 2 kinds of stitch-regulation with precision control to provide consistent stitch quality

• stitch length from 4 stitches-per-inch to 18 stitches-per-inch

• stitch speed is up to 1800 stitches per minute

• two colour touch-sensitive screen controls front and back enable changes in stitch length, stitch regulation from manual to regulated and other settings to be made easily and quickly

• control whether the needle stops up or down and whether when you stop the stop is immediate or a few extra stitches are sewn (cruise)

• built in LED lights provide even coverage of your immediate quilting area and can be switched off and controlled using the touch-screen menu

• stitch counters (useful if you are charging for a quilting service)

• built in self-diagnostics

• integrated and adjustable laser light for following pantographs (Stencils)

• optional extras of wide range of designs for blocks and borders using Groovy Boards (plastic pantographs which are used with the Groovy Board stylus)

• Handi Quilter customer service and warranty as well as local support through The Cotton Patch

• Access to The Cotton Patch “Studio” for training (further announcements will be made later on our new training studio)

• conforms to relevant EU regulations
