This is the finest of the Mako' threads. The long staple Mako' of mercerised Egyptian cotton is very smooth, and strong thus making it great as basic piecing thread. Aurifil also recommend the Cotton Mako' Ne 50/2 for fine detailed machine quilting, to prevent bulky thread build up when you are stitching micro stipple. It is also perfect for invisible ditch stitching, as the thread disappears into the valley between the seams.
