Add volume and dimension to your fabric projects. Can be used for patchwork, wearables and fabric accessories to create texture and three-dimensional effects. A fantastic product for textile artists! The image shows a bag which has had Shrink applied under the fabric.

SHRINK 15% is a 100% polyester fabric that shrinks evenly in size when steam is applied to it. The percentage indicates the approximate amount of shrinkage that occurs after applying steam to the fabric. Also available is SHRINK 30% which gives a more pronounced effect.

SHRINK 15% is very simple to use to create a dimensional effect. Different effects can be created by altering the distance of stitch lines or by varying the direction and density of stitches - the possibilities are endless!

Pack contains one piece of SHRINK 15% polyester fabric approximately 118cm x 100cm (46” x 39”). Instructions are enclosed together with a free pattern to make the bag shown here (there is enough SHRINK to make 4 bags in this design).

Metalized mylar is layered between polyester fleece to create a high-quality barrier that reflects* heat or cold. This special combination of materials is very flexible and easy to sew through. Once you have sewn it into your project, you can machine wash, tumble dry, and iron with no bunching (low to medium heat settings are recommended). A handy 3/4-yard cut is enough for a large lunch bag or several potholders.

*Insul-Fleece™ is heat-resistant only - it is not heat-proof or fire-resistant. Use of an extra layer of cotton batting is recommended for pot holders. Use caution when handling hot surfaces with any insulated fabric craft project.
