Born in San Francisco, Kaffe Fassett settled in England in 1964 and worked as an artist. On a trip to Scotland he stumbled on an irresistible collection of coloured yarns. A few months later he was hooked and proceeded to knit and stitch himself a career.
The Kaffe Fassett Fabric Collection now extends to hundreds of patchwork and quilting fabrics ranging from wonderful woven stripes and checks to bold and colourful prints. The fabrics are produced by Rowan (known as Westminster Fibres in the USA). Since 1999 Rowan has published a series of Patchwork books featuring these fabrics which continue to be revised and updated. You can also find fabrics from two other Rowan fabric designers; Philip Jacobs and Brandon Mably.
Patchwork and Quilting is just one area of the arts and crafts with which artist Kaffe Fassett is associated. Visit the Kaffe Fassett Studio
