First and foremost the Gemini has been designed with the patchworker and sewist in mind. Benefits of the Gemini system include:
* It is powered by electricity - you dont have to turn a handle for the die to pass through the machine. It is faster and quieter than many other die cutting machines and has a sleek low-profile design. The only downside is the weight - to provide the necessary power and pressure it weighs a little over 7 kilos so it is not ideal if you are looking for a portable machine.
* It has a pause, resume and reverse feature buttons. To save time you can reverse out smaller dies once they are cut. If you think you may have assembled the sandwich incorrectly you can pause and reverse it to check it is all okay.
* It has a large platform size (9" x 12.5"), so edge to edge cutting of A4 and US letter size materials is possible as well as the versatility to use multiple dies at the same time.
* The dies are made from a lightweight alloy and not at all sharp making them easy to store and position as you want on the cutting plate and so saving precious fabric!
