Contemporary, semi-abstract floral designs and a dragon flyprint, all in bold, jewel tones of magenta, blue and yellow. Flowers in the Wind makes a colourful statement and is sure to brighten any room.

The quilt uses a classic tumbling blocks layout to showcase the designs. The yellow patch on the top of each “block” is pieced from two triangle patches and this makes the quilt simple to construct in columns. The columns are then stitched together to complete the quilt top. Our kit includes 15 fat quarters required to create this quilt top, plus instructions.

Please note that the binding and backing fabrics are not included.

This quilt is made with Moda’s Malibu Batiks. This kit does not come in a keepsake box, it is based on a web pattern and we are offering it as a kit made up by us at The Cotton Patch. It uses a Malibu Jelly Roll for the blocks and corner stones plus additional meterage of two Malibu Batik fabrics, one for the sashing and the other for binding (backing not included).

Roselyn is about Minick & Simpson's love for peppermints and polka dots, and a vintage restaurant china collection found in diners. It mixes their favourite paisleys and stars with bloomy florals, all coloured in red, cream and shades of pink. Roselyn feels familiar and timeless; it has the warmth of home, wherever that might be.

Roselyn by Minick & Simpson has precut pieces with fusible web & is suitable for machine applique only. This kit includes fabric for the background, letters, binding, laser cut fusible appliques & pattern sheet. You will not be charged until the quilt kit is despatched to you, which is estimated to be in March 2021.

Silk Road: River Dragon Tile Quilt Kit

This Tile quilt makes a great throw for a bed or sofa. It takes advantage of some of the big design repeats in the Silk Road collection with just 20 patches making up the top of this 42" x 54" quilt. It is a design that lets the fabric “do the talking”: three of the blocks are 18" square!

The kit includes nine prints from the Silk Road collection cut as Fat Quarters plus a 78cm “panel” of the fabulous dragon design (refer to 8306-12 for more details), a coordinating print for the binding plus instructions. It’s quick and easy to make with just two inset (partial) seams, so suitable for any skill level from confident beginner.

Although not included as detailed instructions there are examples in the photographs of two cushions made using the remaining dragon print and offcuts from the other fabrics, pieced as strips.

At 42" wide, if you are careful you can back this with a single drop of a regular patchwork fabric that has a nominal width of 42"-44". In our example quilt, pieced and quilted by Stuart Hillard, Stuart used a 108" wide quilt back called Circle Play (7593-2).

The instructions cover 13 different techniques: Paper piecing, the star, spikes, inset circles, freezer paper techniques, second seam allowance, how to get a perfect corner, sashing, flying geese, nesting seams, how to pin baste, how to ease fabrics and how to use fabrics sparingly. The Happiness quilt is a great project to try out all these techniques. When you've finished this beautiful small wall hanging you will be able to make any of Jacqueline's designs.

A Fat Quarter is cut to 50cm by half the fabric width.

Included with this bundle are instructions for making a small 36" x 45" (91cm x 144cm) "Accent" quilt - a simple design to construct that lets the fabric "do the talking". Use as a throw, wall hanging or lap quilt to compliment (or contrast) with your decor or add more packs to make a larger quilt. A lovely gift that can be made in a day!

If you want to keep the quilting simple and just stitch in the ditch we recommend Quilter's Dream Green wadding in the Crib size (7794, £7.95). Made from recycled plastic bottles, it is very stable with a nice drape.

Backing: 1.25m of a standard (110cm) wide patchwork fabric. We recommend 6747-25.
