Feel the heat of the summer sun and the dry, hot breezes of summer in this celebration of summer. The interlocking blocks and intricate pieces will dazzle and delight. The picture shows this 55" x 83" quilt made using the Stonehenge Solstice fabric range. Note that although this pattern is called paper piecing pattern it is more accurately described as foundation piecing. Each unit is created by sewing small pieces of fabric to the foundation paper in the order printed on the paper. As the units are quite small we would not recommend this if you have not tried foundation piecing before. Approximate fabric requirement to complete the quilt top is 18-1/2 yards.

Four sheets of foundation paper masters are included in the pattern. These will need to be photocopied onto paper. We recommend Carol Doak's Foundation Paper (10502) which works well in most inkjet and laser printers and photocopiers.

Skill level: Advanced Level Piecing.
