Sacre Bleu Fabrics by French General for Moda. Sacre Bleu, sacred blue or holy blue, has been the classic colour of France since the 15th century. Religion and politics both have claimed this colour to be the colour of courage. French General’s collection of blues is inspired by summers in France and dyeing antique white linen scraps into a beautiful shade of Woad blue.

This latest collection features three of their favourite blues: French Blue, Woad Blue and Indigo. They have also woven in a bit of Ciel Bleu for a subtle play of colours. Sacre Bleu provides the perfect start to a classic French country quilt.
